Is this the right service for your system
What the service covers
What your membership includes
Covered solar system fault call-outs, fault diagnosis, labour for covered repairs, an annual on-site inspection and health check, performance review, applicable software or firmware updates and priority scheduling. Monitoring support can help you understand portal access, alerts and system behaviour.
Your annual system inspection
The engineer reviews modules and strings, DC and AC cabling, isolators, earthing and visible equipment condition. We check performance, establish a baseline health record, review relevant labels and isolation points, and explain anything that needs further attention.
Parts are separate from the monthly fee
The subscription covers the stated call-outs and labour, not replacement components. If parts are needed, we explain the issue and provide a quotation before work is approved. Ask us to confirm any applicable parts discount in that quote; do not assume every component has the same discount.
What is not included
New inverters or panels, replacement parts, battery systems unless agreed separately, scaffolding or specialist access, unrelated roof repairs, storm or flood damage, vandalism or pest damage, and alterations or upgrades are outside the standard monthly cover. We explain additional costs and eligibility before arranging excluded work.
A rolling plan with flexible cancellation
There is no fixed long-term contract. You can cancel the rolling monthly membership, with cover continuing to the end of the paid period under the plan terms. Membership activation and the scope of your installation are confirmed when joining.
Planned care and responsive support
The plan provides a continuing point of contact for your solar installation. Regular checks can identify developing concerns, but membership does not guarantee that equipment will never fail or remove the need to replace worn components.

Why choose Solar Maintenance and Repairs
Our work covers solar installation, maintenance and repairs, so advice considers the equipment over its working life. We assess the installation before recommending work, explain the options and agree the proposed scope and costs with you.
If additional work is needed, we explain the reason and quote before it proceeds. Related solar PV, thermal, inverter, storage, cleaning and bird-proofing services can be discussed where they are relevant to your property.

What our customers say
from homeowners and businesses
“I’m sure that there are dodgy companies out there but this company is certainly not one of them. Very helpful and prompt service, with good communication and trustworthy engineers who know their stuff. Louis was smashing. Very polite, explained everything and did a cracking job of servicing our solar panels system. I’d recommend them to anyone.”
“SMAR are extremely professional, I was kept up to date throughout my interaction with them. They arrived promptly and had me up and running again within an hour. I would definitely recommend them.”
“SMAR serviced our solar water heating system and replaced our original expansion tank, which was installed in 2010. They kept us informed on their arrival times and any issues. Matthew and his colleague were very pleasant and competent workers. Many thanks.”
“Thanks to everyone one at Solar Maintenance. New inverter, battery and Zappi car charger. Thanks to Louis we got there in the end.”
